One-day trip to the Festival of Chiprovtsi Carpets

Dear Ladies, 

Join us for a day trip to discover one of Bulgaria's most famous traditions!

The purpose of the festival is to popularise the Chiprovtsi rugs by presenting both the tradition of the craft and the introduction of modern motifs in its making. You can discover exactly how these masterpieces with two completely identical faces are made in the central square "Chiprovtsi Uprising" between April 26th and April 28th, 2024

Our exclusive excursion will depart from Sofia at 8 am and after a 2.5 hour drive we will arrive in the little town of Chiprovtsi. After about 2 hours of sightseeing and learning in detail about the tradition, we will have the opportunity to have lunch at a local restaurant. We can also meet some local artists and even try some weaving! There will be an open air exhibition of carpets and lots of stylish souvenirs including watches with a Chiprovtsi design face!

After spending approximately 5 fascinating hours in Chiprovtsi,  we will head back to Sofia.

The price for the excursion is 78 BGN/ person and includes transport and the tourguide’s services. The price is valid for minimum five and up to 7 participants.
