Dear Ladies,
Nadya, our member from Indonesia, is pleased to invite you to an Indonesian Rijsttaffel (rice table) lunch on Thursday, May 16th, at 11 am, at her home (Maxi Club Sofia - parking is very easy around the apartment complex). The rice table is an array of popular and typical Indonesian dishes accompanied by "nasi kuning" (yellow rice, a special occasion rice). The dishes will include starters like "lumpia" and "bakwan," "tahu" (tofu), and "tempeh." Main dishes consist of beef, chicken, and fish - "Rendang," "ayam goreng," and "Ikan pedas." A salad dish called "gado-gado," as well as Indonesia's favorite dessert, the "dadar gulung" or green pancake filled with a sweet coconut concoction. Not forgetting refreshing beverages like "wedang jahe," a type of fresh ginger tea, and the very healthy "jamu kunyit asam" - a traditional turmeric-based herbal drink that is good for health.

The fee is 30 leva per person. The maximum number of guests is 10, so registration is imperative (for members only). Please RSVP by May 9th. You may pre-pay the full amount via Revolut (revolut.me/nadyawb) or with cash on the day. Cancellations must be made by Monday, May 13th, or you will be charged the full amount as the cost of the lunch needs to be covered.
Note: Some allergens will be typical ingredients in most of the dishes, such as chillies, nuts, eggs, soy, and coconut milk. Please ensure you are not allergic or sensitive to them. Some dishes will also be on the spicier side, so prepare to have an adventurous palate.
