Dear Ladies,
Our member the Bulgarian fashion designer, Neli Mitova, has a proposal for SEWA members; a Block Printing Workshop lead by textile designer Assoc. Prof. Dinka Kasabova.
The workshop will give participants the opportunity to experience the first textile printing technique practised by the Egyptians and ancient Greeks. It has been preserved to this day in authentic form in some art studios in Britain.
A demonstration of the project will be given, after which each participant will be able to create their own floral design using the provided block stamps, natural fabrics and non-toxic water-based pigments.
The special (reduced) participation fee for SEWA members of 70 BGN covers all the needed materials, colours, as well as a silk scarf which every lady will be able to print with her own motifs.
Maximum participants: 10 SEWA Members only Please R.S.V.P. until September 30th
Contact person: Seda Duman
The full amount needs to be paid (to any member of the board) by mid October
If for some reason you cannot attend please notify at earliest opportunity in case some members are waitlisted.
