Dear Ladies,
You are invited to a special event in Roman organised by the Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation. The social home ( 30 children, aged 4-18 ) is in the town of Roman, 120 km NW off Sofia.
Part of a project called “Bridge between generations” the underprivileged children from the social institution meet up with senior women from the local community and spend some time together. They celebrate national holidays and other significant dates, speak about historical and cultural traditions, sometimes they cook together, sing songs or dance traditional Bulgarian dances. The older people share their experience with the children who are happy to learn about Bulgarian traditions, history and events. The children often perform for the elder people, sing songs or recite poems. Most of all both groups enjoy being together.
They will be happy to welcome the ladies from SEWA to join this special get together.
The event will take place at MAX Day Care Center for the Elderly, set up by Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation.
Transport: We offer 6 seats in the van of Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation. If more people are willing to join the event, they can do carpooling.
Time: We should leave at 11:30 from Sofia to start the event at 13:30 - 14:00 h. The event usually takes 1 hour and a half and then we leave. We hope to be back by 17:00 h or a little later depending on the traffic. Meeting Point: Hit Max Mladost, Metro stop: Alexander Teodorov Balan (Business Park Line)
