You are invited to join Ilona for a painting experience on dried Lotus Leaves from Thailand.
Living in Bangkok for 6 years gave her the opportunity to learn about the Thai people, their culture, and symbols. The Lotus flower is one of their most important symbols for purity of body and mind. Its petals are symbolic for detachment as drops of water easily slide off their surface!
During that time, Ilona came across a workshop in Bangkok painting on dried Lotus leaves. The leaves are harvested on sustainable farms in Thailand, dried for 3 weeks and then conserved until the high quality leaves are placed on a handmade wooden panel.
